YOU HAVE…

  • A Master degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or comparable.
  • Approximately 5 years’ experience in a big four audit firm (or similar) / Demonstrable experience in financial management, preferably in a managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and forecasting techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software applications.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Dutch native speaking skills with good knowledge of English (good knowledge of French is a major additional asset); and
  • Interested in the role of finance manager, working in a close knit team with our accountants and business controllers, reporting to our CFO/CEO.

YOU GRAB A CUP OF COFFEE (OR TEA) AND MANAGE…

1.Financial reporting:

  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and
    cash flow statements, to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards in financial reporting.

2.Financial Operations:

  • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable.
  • Streamline financial processes and implement internal controls to protect assets and ensure accuracy of financial
    transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to optimize financial systems and tools for efficiency and effectiveness.

3.Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast the company’s performance, cash flow, and budget requirements.
  • Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the company’s financial health and identify areas for improvement.

4.Budgeting a forecast:

  • Lead the annual budgeting process and work with department heads to develop comprehensive budgets aligned with business goals.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts to support business planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, identify anomalies, and implement corrective actions as needed.

5.Cash management and Treasury:

  • Manage cash flow by forecasting cash needs and optimizing cash positions.
  • Oversee banking operations, including reconciling bank accounts and investment management.
  • Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, such as exchange rate fluctuations and interest rate risks
